Buying a laser cleaning machine

Buy a laser cleaning machine:
outright purchase or leasing.

Four models. Two routes to a system of your own.

Remove rust, paint, scale and oxides without contact — without blasting media, chemicals or water. Beamlux supplies portable and wheeled laser cleaning machines with a pulsed laser or a continuous wave laser from €12,600 plus VAT. You either buy outright or spread the investment across predictable monthly instalments with leasing. Beforehand, we test the machine on your material.

01Models and prices

Four machines, four tasks.

Portable or wheeled, pulsed or continuous wave: the task decides which laser cleaning machine you should buy. All prices are entry-level prices per model plus VAT; the final price is determined by power class and equipment — we state both in the quotation.

02Outright purchase or leasing

Two routes to a system of your own.

Outright purchase

Pay once, yours from delivery.

You pay the purchase price once and the system is yours from delivery — with no ongoing finance instalment and no credit assessment by third parties. The simplest route if the liquidity is to be used deliberately for the investment.

Payment
one-off investment
Ownership

Term

Requirement

Suits

Leasing

A predictable instalment instead of tied-up capital.

A leasing company finances the system and you pay a constant monthly instalment over the term. Full amortisation or partial amortisation with a residual value; a down payment reduces the instalment. Hire purchase is also possible.

Payment
monthly instalment
Ownership
after the end of the term, depending on the contract
Term
36 / 48 / 60 months
Requirement
credit assessment, usually management accounts and annual financial statements
Young companies
often a 10 – 20 % down payment
Suits
predictable fixed costs, building up a business
Calculate the leasing instalment

Two contract forms are common in machinery leasing: with full amortisation the instalments repay the entire acquisition value and no final payment remains at the end. With partial amortisation a calculated residual value of usually 10 to 20 per cent remains; the instalments are lower, and at the end of the term the system is normally purchased at the residual value. In both cases a down payment reduces the financed amount and therefore the instalment.

Whether buying or leasing works out better depends on utilisation, liquidity planning and tax treatment. The instalment also depends on creditworthiness, the interest rate environment and the contract form — binding terms only follow from the assessment by the leasing company. If you would rather lease the system than buy it, we will provide the terms on request. If you would like to hire first, part of the hire cost can be credited against the purchase later on.

03Calculate the leasing instalment

What does the system cost per month?

Choose the model, the down payment and the term. The calculator shows the monthly instalment as a guide figure for full amortisation and partial amortisation — based on terms customary in machinery leasing, not as a quotation.

Please enter an equipment value between €1,000 and €500,000.

Guide figures, not terms: the calculation assumes 5.5 to 6.5 per cent total cost per year and constant monthly instalments, excluding insurance, fees and VAT. The actual instalment depends on creditworthiness, the interest rate environment, the contract form and the leasing company; there is no entitlement to financing. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version at beamlux.de/laserreinigungsgeraet-kaufen shall prevail.

Guide figures without a down paymentAs a guide for a system with a net value of €20,000: the leasing factor is the monthly instalment as a percentage of the acquisition value. The range covers full and partial amortisation.

48months · leasing factor 2.15 – 2.40 %approx. €430 – 480 / month

The machine

Which technology suits your application?

Pulsed or continuous wave, portable or wheeled: the answer is not on the rating plate but on your component. The next sections show how to tell.

04The purchase decision

Pulsed or continuous wave?

The laser principle matters more than the wattage. It determines how finely or how powerfully a surface is cleaned — and therefore which model suits your task.

Rule of thumb: sensitive surface or detail work — pulsed. Speed on robust steel and large areas — continuous wave. If in doubt, we settle it with a material test before you commit.

05Power classes

Which power for which task?

More power above all means more area per unit of time. On pulsed machines, the pulse energy also matters for protecting the material — details are in the magazine and we go through them in the consultation.

08Clarify before buying

The technical purchase checklist.

Power supply and connection We agree the connected loads for your site before delivery.
Cooling BL Portable Pulse air-cooled and capable of battery operation, BL CW 2000 and BL Welding Machine water-cooled.
Extraction Capturing dusts and particles when removing paint and coatings

Removing paint and coatings produces dusts, particles and emissions. Suitable extraction equipment has to be planned in — you can obtain matching systems through our service.

Wear parts Protective windows, lenses and laser safety goggles through the Beamlux service

Protective windows in front of the optics, lenses and laser safety goggles are consumables. You obtain these parts through the Beamlux service, as well as support in the event of faults, with the aim of keeping downtime short.

Laser safety Laser class 4: risk assessment, laser-controlled area, laser safety officer

Depending on the version, Beamlux laser systems can generate Class 4 laser radiation. Before commissioning, an application-specific risk assessment has to be carried out and a suitable laser-controlled area defined; under the German OStrV, the employer is in principle required to appoint a laser safety officer where the legal conditions apply. The instruction given at handover covers operation, occupational safety and the parameters on the machine. All notes can be found on the laser safety page. Financing Outright purchase, leasing, hire purchase — or hire first and have part of the cost credited

You either buy outright or spread the investment across predictable monthly instalments with leasing or hire purchase; the leasing calculator provides guide figures and we state the terms on request. If you would like to hire first, hire costs already paid can be credited in part against the later purchase.

10Frequently asked questions

Good to
know.

Do you have a question that is missing here? We will answer it in a consultation.

Request a quotation
What does a laser cleaning machine cost?+

Entry-level prices range from €12,600 to €16,900 plus VAT: BL Welding Machine from €12,600 (1,500 to 3,000 W), BL CW 2000 from €13,500, BL Portable Pulse from €14,900 and BL Compact Pulse from €16,900. The final price depends on power class and equipment and is stated in the quotation.

Outright purchase or leasing – which makes more sense?+

An outright purchase is the simplest route if the liquidity is to be used deliberately for it. Leasing spreads the investment across constant monthly instalments and preserves equity; the instalment depends on the term, the down payment, the contract form and creditworthiness. Please clarify tax questions with your tax adviser.

Which documents does a leasing enquiry require?+

For systems of this order of magnitude, current management accounts and the most recent annual financial statements are usually enough for the leasing company. Young companies that have been in business for less than two years are generally asked for a down payment of 10 to 20 per cent or additional security. The leased machine serves as the main security; machinery breakdown or electronics insurance is usually part of the arrangement.

How reliable is the leasing calculator?+

The calculator provides guide figures based on terms customary in machinery leasing, with an assumed total cost range of 5.5 to 6.5 per cent per year. Binding terms only follow from the leasing company's credit assessment and may differ from these figures.

Can I test the machine beforehand?+

Yes. Send us a material sample or book a demonstration on site or by video call. That way you can see before buying which power class suits your application.

Can I hire first and buy later?+

Yes. If you decide to buy after a period of hire, we credit hire costs already paid in part against the purchase price. You will find the hire terms on the Hire a laser cleaning machine page.
